During our expat time in UAE, we visited many  countries in the region, in addition to the 7 emirates. We visited: Oman (several times), Jordan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia/Qatar (roadtrip), Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal, Japan and Philippines. And still counting.
