Al Qudra Cycling (a.k.a. Al Qudra Cycle Track) is one of Dubai’s most iconic outdoor cycling destinations — a long, paved bike path through desert scenery that attracts cyclists of all levels, from casual riders and fitness enthusiasts to experienced road cyclists. It’s located in the Al Qudra area in the southeast of Dubai, UAE.

Bicycle-friendly city

Al Qudra Cycle Track is part of Dubai’s plan to become a bicycle-friendly city and is widely used by cyclists of all levels — from casual riders to serious athletes

Al Qudra Cycle network

The track spans about 80.6 km of continuous paved cycling path. The mainloop is around 50 km); this is a classic circular route great for early morning rides.

Including additional connecting routes and sub-tracks, the total network around Al Qudra extends further up to 135–180 km across all loops.

What to expect?

Cyclists enjoy wide, smooth asphalt paths set against scenic desert landscapes, including dunes, open plains, and lakes.

Besides this, it’s very common to spot wildlife such as Arabian oryx and various bird species near the lakes.

The environment is very open — wind and heat can be significant factors, especially afternoons can be hot, so early mornings or late afternoons are preferred.

The main hub is near Last Exit Al Qudra, where you’ll find:

Our experience

We started at 'The Last Exit', where we rented bikes and ate a snack in the picknick area. The track is about an 80 km (circle) tour, but we only did the first part, as is was already quite hot that day. At the finish, we had some food and drinks from the food trucks at The Last Exit. Cool place! We had fun doing this typical Dutch stuff (cycling bikes) and the kids have nog yet forgotten how to ride ;-)
